Band Members Overview... Carla, Sue and Jim were friends who came together from a Cajun and Zydeco dancing background. They started out by having musical knockabouts together just for fun on cheap or home made instruments (see picture below). However people who heard them seemed to like what they were doing and George, who was then playing guitar with M C Cajun, suggested forming a small band.....and the rest is history!

George and Thom come from more of a musical background, both having played with other bands. Since the formation of HottBoxx, members have appeared with Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys (USA), Doc Zydeco (France), Bayou Secou (USA), Sean Vidrine (USA), Keith Frank & The Soileau Zydeco Band (USA) and Blind Mississippi Morris (USA).
